Reporting on the results of the construction industry’s 2021 tasks, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung said that the complicated Covid-19 epidemic has greatly affected all areas of the economy, including construction. But with the flexible management of the Government, the close direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Construction and the efforts of the whole industry, the construction industry has achieved many remarkable achievements.
In 2021, the added value of the Construction industry is estimated to increase by 0.2 – 0.5% compared to 2020; construction price index increased by 4.34% compared to 2020; The average housing area nationwide is estimated at 25m2/person. In the field of urban development and urban infrastructure, many important results have been achieved: the national urbanization rate in 2021 is estimated at 40.5%; the percentage of population in urban areas supplied with clean water through the centralized water supply system is estimated at 92% (up 2% compared to 2020); the rate of loss of clean water revenue decreased to 17.2% (down 0.8% compared to 2020). In the field of building materials production, in 2021, cement consumption is estimated at 105.6 million tons (up 2% compared to 2020); construction glass reached about 186 million m2 (an increase of about 24%); sanitary ware about 16 million products, (up about 7%)…
In 2021, the Ministry of Construction has submitted and promulgated 8 Decrees by the Government; The Prime Minister issued 6 Decisions and 1 Directive. The Ministry of Construction has also issued under its authority 14 Circulars; cutting and simplifying a number of administrative procedures and business investment conditions in order to create favorable conditions for construction investment activities. Entering 2022, the Ministry of Construction will continue to focus on researching, building and completing institutions synchronously, developing and improving the efficiency of law enforcement; promote construction investment management, work quality supervision, planning management, architecture, urban development management; focusing on administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment in association with building an e-Government, restructuring and equitizing State-owned enterprises in which the Ministry represents the owner.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh praised cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the whole construction industry for their solidarity, efforts to overcome difficulties, to successfully complete the tasks in 2021, and to contribute It is an important part of the whole country to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, successfully realize many socio-economic development goals.
In order to well implement the goals set out for 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh emphasized 3 breakthrough stages of the construction industry: perfecting legal institutions on construction to strengthen state management and at the same time. create a favorable, open, and strongly decentralized environment for the locality; focus on urban development planning and management; promote the management of housing development and real estate market, focus on developing social housing, housing for low- and middle-income segments, strengthen management to ensure the real estate market stable and sustainable development.
